Hello, I am Rebecca Cook. I am a poet, writer, and visual artist. Read my bio here.

I publish work about every four days or so, sometimes more frequently. I usually publish a piece of my art (digital drawing) with each poem. On occasion I will post a previously-published piece, but most of the work here will be new, written with Substack readers in mind.

Please let me know what you think of my work by posting comments or joining in my Substack Subscriber chat. Discussions on my posts can get pretty lively, so join in! You can subscribe for free; if you do, you’ll get my new posts sent to your email.

I have not decided if, or when, I will turn on Paid Subscriptions. My intention is for my posts to remain free forever, but I am toying with the idea of starting a hard-hitting critique group for people who want to improve their poetry—this would be like a college-level workshop for experienced poets who want to hone their craft. (For years I taught creative writing to undergrads and grads, and I miss it.) I am also interested in critiquing and/or editing poems by subscribers.

If any of this interests you, shoot me an email— rebecca13substack@gmail.com
